I TOCCHETTI Taralluccios

Puglia is one of the most important regions in the South of Italy in terms of agriculture and food traditions. Puglia is renowned for its wheat production which is so high that the region has long been nicknamed “Italy’s Granary”. The crowning glory of this production are the regional specialities that include hand-made pasta, the famous Altamura PDO bread, dark and full of flavour based on an age-old recipe, and then there is the Tarallo or Tarallino, a traditional baked product. The Tarallo is a small ring of unleavened bread dough baked in the oven. The dough is made of flour, olive oil, white wine and salt.
I TOCCHETTI Taralluccios are based on a traditional product from Puglia
The product is a modern reinterpretation of the traditional TARALLO, a small ring of unleavened bread dough baked in the oven. The dough is made of flour, olive oil, white wine and salt.
The origins of Taralluccios Tocchetti lie in the age-old Pugliese Tarallo recipe, but we have given them a smaller and more “nibble-friendly” shape as well as new flavours including Crushed Black Pepper & Onion and fragrant Mediterranean Rosemary to make the traditional taste even more tantalizing. Tocchetti are ideal as nibbles with a glass of wine, as an Italian aperitif!
Taralluccios TOCCHETTI are produced in Puglia as a modern twist to the traditional recipe, using only the simplest ingredients such as flour, olive oil, white wine and salt. For an extra tasty crunch, simple natural ingredients like black pepper, onion or chopped rosemary are added for flavour. Absolutely no artificial flavours or colours!
