Wines by region

Wines from the Basilicata Region
The wines from Basilicata are produced using various grapes, but the best is undoubtedly the famous Aglianico variety which finds its ideal growing climate on flat land and in the volcanic soil on the hills. The wine that goes by the generic name “Aglianico di Vulture” is produced in 15 localities in the Vulture Valley.

Wines from the Campania Region
The Campania region has a long-standing tradition of wine-making. Since ancient times, these lands have produced the highest quality wines. The climate and soil in this region help to produce grapes that are unique all over the world. Production is of a high quality, though limited in quantity.

Wines from the Emilia Romagna region
Emilia Romagna produces a lot of wine, as its climate and soil are ideal for grape cultivation. The most famous wine from this region is Sangiovese.

Wines from the Lombardia region
The Lombardia region abounds with picturesque vineyards cultivated on rocky terraces. Excellent sparkling wines and the finest white and red wines are produced here. Lombardia’s crowning glory is the Franciacorta area which produces the best grapes in the region. Grape-vines are cultivated mostly in the Valtellina and Oltrepò Pavese areas as well as on the land around Lake Garda.

The Marche region offers a wide array of wines to satisfy every imaginable consumer need. Products range from dry to sweet sparkling wines, from easy to drink whites to those that are more mature and sophisticated, from light fragrant reds to more complex, full bodied ones with a high alcohol content. The range includes wines such as Rosso Piceno, Rosso Conero, Verdicchio and many others.

Wines from the Piemonte region
The Piemonte region boasts an abundance of the Italians’ best-loved grape varieties, including Barbera d’Alba, Barbera d’Asti, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d'Alba, Moscato d'Asti, Nebbiolo delle Langhe, etc. The region offers a wide range of well-known and popular wines.

Wines from the Puglia region
Puglia is the largest wine producer among the Italian regions. From as far back as ancient times, Pugliese wine has been well-known and esteemed. Today, Puglia boasts 25 DOC (the mark guaranteeing quality and origin) wines.

Wines from Sardinia
Sardinia has a wide variety of unique-tasting wines. In this section you can find the island’s finest wines: Costamolino, Costera, Korem, Selegas, Turriga and many others.

Wines from Sicily
Sicily has a wide range of wines: Nero d'Avola, Megara, Merlot, Sedara, Noà and many others. Here we have also indicated some of the island’s most famous fortified wines.

Wines from Tuscany
Tuscany produces some of the best-loved Italian wines. The region’s soil and climate help to produce grapes that are unique in all the world. In addition to the famous Chianti, in this section we recommend a wide range of Tuscan wines.

Wines from the Trentino region
The Trentino region abounds in vineyards, in spite of its steep slopes which do not make cultivation easy. Trentino’s strength lies in its climate and its soil which make the finest grapes prosper.

Wines from Umbria
The mild climate and particular soil facilitate the cultivation of high quality grapes across the whole region of Umbria. Ancient tradition has given rise to several DOC wines. This section includes some of the finest Umbrian wines.

Wines from the Valle d’Aosta
We have selected the most typical wines from the many limited productions in the Valle d’Aosta. The wines were chosen for their distinctive or typical character, such as the Fumin and Torrette wines.

Wines from the Veneto and Friuli regions
The Veneto region produces a wide variety of wines, many of which are certified with the DOC quality mark. The Friuli region has a smaller production (also due to its soil which is less suitable for grape growing), but still offers a range of fine wines.
